Mommy Monday: Mommy In Every Form
Happy Mommy Monday everyone! It's Monday, Mommy Monday to be exact! Moms aren't just woman as many of you know, moms and dads sometimes have to play a different role. They have to be daddy's and daddy's have to be Mommys.
Life has a funny way of showing love to so many that need and want the love. Dads have to come home and braid a child's hair, when they don't even know how to paint a little girls thumb nail or even know how to talk about that special tome of the month to there child. Or talk to there child about other things "A mom would talk about" All they know is that, the hair they just combed on there daughter and the outfit they just picked out for there son for school that morning is going to look great and there proud of it.
Mom's have to be dads as well, some moms don't know how to throw a ball or to teach there child to do most things "Dads would be there for" or the things "Mom would be there for" it's all a work in progress. Moms have to be both mom and dad and dads have to be both dad and mom as well, and you know what? That's alright as long as you try, you don't ever fail.
Sometimes its your neighbor that's the parent to the child or even the teacher that is there sometimes just someone who will be there. So always take into consideration that a mommy isn't just someone who will have the baby or even the one who will claim the child or tittle. sometimes its the grandmother that was always there or the aunt that help wipe away every tear, or even the woman that said "ill be your mommy, i love you." A mommy is a strong woman/person one who will be there for her child at anytime because a mommy comes in any shape or form.
I would like to say thank you to all the Mommys that wer and stil are there for me. I love you, Lucy and I both do.

Mommy Monday: Thank You Mommy's Of 2012
I want to say a huge, big, awesome, way to go, omg, I can't believe I did this! A dream come true to the mommys of 2012 and all the other moms and parents out there! Wow I don't even know where to start, this started out as a small little idea I've always had since I was in middle school Ive know so much about moms and all. So one day I do want to write a book and do some much more but! This idea also came about one day with my cousin Jessica and friend amber. Who are like sisters to me, when they were pregnant and I got so close to them so much and was there for them. Maybe a bit overprotected at times(sorry) but there with all my love.Once day I said "hey( as I was talking to myself) why don't I have a day where moms just don't have one day a year to be celebrated but one day a week" so then became the day I created, the day that I would love, the day I know in my heart feels right. (And sounds very cute) Mommy Monday! This is and was truly a dream come true and to have you all be apart of it makes me oh so very happy!
So much more to come for this day and others I can't wait to tell you I'm working very hard I love you all so much!

Mommy Monday: The Back-Up Plan
A Back Up Plan isn't just for the movies, it's real life as well. Mommy's all over the world need one and have a Back-Up plan from A-Z even daddy's and moms and dads that are just beginning already have one.
Here's a few ways to have an action plan a.k.a your very own back-up plan. To let you know everything will be alright and to set you're own up today!
1. Always make sure your prepared for anything to go wrong. Now I know that sounds odd, but it's a very good rule. Things don't always go as planned so when something goes wrong, don't over think it and dwell on it. Just act on it and head on over to plan b! Your backup plan.
2. I always make sure, as stress this rule myself. Is to make sure you have an emergency fund. At any given time something can go wrong and when a child or in my case a dog which is my child, goes wrong you must have that emergency fund. I know it's hard even when you don't have anything. But that's why you also have a backup plan for that as well.
3. If you want a baby or in the process of having a baby, I want you to know that there won't ever be a time for you to "prepare you're self if it doesn't happen" things go wrong and things happen that's not your fault. You won't ever be ready for what life brings, you just have to be able to know that in the end everything happens for a reason. Don't ever forget to look around you and see all the wonderful things around you.
4. I want you all to know things go right and then things go wrong. But as my tia lupe always tells me "everything is temporary, and the bad stuff is very temporary you'll see" so don't be so sad and be the best that I know you can. I know that inside I you all the great moms out there know there you know your doing a wonderful job so here's to you having a back-up plan.

Mommy Monday: Stop Drop And Love
Mommys have a very tough job, staying up late, night and day. Can you imagine not getting any sleep and still going about your day? Working, doing the household chores and so much more and still being a mom. Now don't get me wrong there are great daddy's out there that do a wonderful job as well, But this is mommy Monday.
Weather your a new mom staying up late at night with your new born and all of a sunned a fever is to come up or a mom with experience waiting up for your kids to come home from there first day of school or even home from a party that night or even just up looking through the crack of there door to make sure there tucked in to bed and sleeping. Moms have that twenty four hour non sleep schedule.
If your child gets sick you stop what your doing at that very moment and do what needs to be done. Even if you go about your day you think about your child or children. I know so many mothers out there that give so much of there time to there child/children. You moms are being notice for your work and all the hard work that you put into your child. Thank you for all your hard work your doing a wonderful job.
Here are some tips that will help you go thought your day and ease your mind to know that your doing a great job, and to help you with a few things along the way.
1. Always have a first aid kit on hand. Kids can get a bit wild while having fun or even just helping out at home can cause a little cut or something. It's always best and helpful to have on hand, very inexpensive and you can get one anywhere.
2. Don't let anyone tell you any different on what you do. What works for you, works for you.
3. If co-parenting is an option, go for it don't do it all alone. Even if you have help take the help while you can. If your spouse and loved one is right beside you take turns don't forget the bet thing is communication.
4. Always keep doctors numbers and addresses on hand for any given time. It comes in handy.
5. Sleep is very important and your health so when you can, mommys yes I'm talking to all of you moms out there. Please take care of your health. It does no good to anyone if Mom's to sick. So take care of you too.
You care with all your hearts and "Stop drop and love" every time so don't stop thinking about you as we'll.
I love you and so much thanks for doing a wonderful job.

Mommy Monday: Pregnancy Pains, Take It Easy Mom
I can't believe I haven't talked about the labor pains a woman goes through while going through the whole pregnancy. A Mom has so much going on besides oh, I don't know carrying a baby for just about nine months. There Is so much more that comes into bringing another life into your world. Which will now become our world, for you and your baby.
From day one there are so many emotions and physical changes that go on. Weather you get morning sickness or not, it's there. Or how about those cramps you get out of no where. Or when your sleeping or even trying to take a nap the baby starts having a party in your belly? Most women don't even know what do with all that pain. I've seen it first hand, I get pretty nervous seeing my friends or family having to go through that. It's very difficult but a very magical time.
Now don't get me wrong there are some that just have it pretty easy breezy. But every mom has a life as well, and that's what I'm here to talk about, taking it easy when you can and just stop, put everything on hold, and think of you and that little one and no one else.
Step one: relax when you can. If someone is telling you "hey ill massage you're feet" or "let me cook for you tonight." Let them, rest and be thankful. And very glad that you have others so willing to help you.
Step two: do what's right for you. Don't let any bad mistakes effect you and your baby. Now I'm not saying that your perfect or to be perfect by any means. But! What I am saying is to take it easy. Don't go calling up your ex and having a screaming match or trying to take a huge load of laundry out the washer with a huge belly and back pains. Mothers please take rest if the doctor recommends it. If someone is offering you the help, be smart and take the help don't be a fool and try and take the hard road. If you have help take it, don't abuse it.
(I've learned that rule from the mommy a that I've interviewed so far on mommy Monday)
Step three: when that day comes, that you get to hold you're baby in you're arms cherish that moment for life. When that day comes everything changes. All the fights and your old life is no longer you. Well unless you fall back into that old bad life then I suggest, not to go back to that life. All the fights might not change just because a new life is upon you. so don't think its all that magical, it truly is a whole new world. sleepless nights, struggles and all. Everything will come up even more tough and way more hard. Again... Sleepless nights, baby gets sick, someone's won't help, or maybe someone just needs sleep. Some stay wide awake and then things get hard, things might happen. But the point of step three is: no matter what happens do what's right for you and your baby. That baby is the one that will forever change your life, will always have half of your heart.

Mommy Monday: A Mothers Bond
A Mother is a strong woman, reminds me of an animal, not that any of you moms are animals. But that you have the ability to hold on to your baby/cub with strength and courage and fight for what's right. No one person, place, or thing may come between you and your baby.
The bond you have with your child is big and strong no one can ever take that away from you. I'm talking to all you moms out there all kinds. The ones that have kids, the ones that foster kids, the ones that take care of others children and watch them and love them like your own. To the ones that have animals and love them with all you're hearts, to the ones that are at our schools and make sure that child has a place to do his or her homework and wake up the next day. Even the ones that go night and day without sleep wondering if that one child that they have a bond with is going to be alright.
So to you mommy's out there, your bond with your baby is unbreakable and no one can and will ever take that away from you.
Your a mom first and that's all that matters Mondays are your day, it's your day to say, this is my child or children and I love and have a bond with my baby, my life...

Mommy Monday: Do What Works
Can you believe still in this world we live in so many moms still have to hear the words "no do it like this" or "you have to do this, or your doing it wrong". Trust me I hear that first hand from the woman I know. People want to tell you that you are a bad mom for doing it a different way then there used to seeing or doing.
As you can tell from the moms I've interviewed, they all have different styles of doing what works for them. All different moms, but there mom's. some love to much some over love some love just as much as they want, and any way that works for that mom is alright to me as long as there is love in the heart.
I want to tell all you moms out there if you ever come across the day when you can't smile, or love the one that brings you joy or headaches in life or even a Lego on your foot, or Hey maybe even a fever late at night and you have to stay awake all through the night. To just remember those nights and look into those eyes and I promise that there won't ever come a day like that.
I love you moms so much and all that you do, don't ever forget to smile and know that you all are superheroes.
-Rob

Mommy Monday: Relax when You Can
Today I want to talk you you moms all about relaxation. Trying to relax and be the best mom you can. That know you are. Staying up all those late nights and mornings not getting any sleep at all. I know you all are super heroes, and you're cape is the clothes you still have on from the night before or maybe it's the blouse that has food spilled on it from the little one, or maybe it's the jeans that you were on the floor with the little one laughing you're heads off at his/hers favorite cartoon.
Don't blame your self or think that you're bad for taking a little time off or even a small second away. It will be a okay. Then you go right back and attack that little one with plenty of kisses from mommy.
You are already the best mom ever don't be so down on you're self. You're doing a great job. You're child loves you so much I know once you look in those eyes all you see is dreams of a thousand years to come. when they see into your eyes they see love, hope, faith, and magical love from the one they love.
So always take time when you can and relax. Even a bath or a good tv show is just fine. I love you from me and my dog Lucy.

Mommy Monday: Amber Work
Im so very excited I can hardly contain myself so I better use autocorrect really good. My dear friend amber just had her baby as most of you may know. I was there every step of the way even before baby. And now through sleepless nights and back pains and the little cravings she had here and there. She even let me be there the day she had the little pumpkin. Im so honored that Justin and amber let me be there. I'm so happy for them. Together they have made the most beautiful baby girl.
Thank you amber for letting me be there and I still am here even after baby. I'm so very happy for you. You're a great mom already I can't wait till you can take her to school and everything. I love you.
Happy Mommy Monday everyone.
MOMMY MONDAY
Rob: How did you find out you wer pregnant?
Amber:"Missed my period in February."
Rob: that's a quick way to find out. Did you take a at home pregnancy test?
Amber:" Yes I actually took two."
Rob: good, Who was the first person you told? Wer you scared?
Amber:"I told my mom first then Justin. I wasn't necessarly scared I was more afraid of what Justin reaction would be."
Rob: That's always the first reaction. I would have been the same way. Have you always wanted children?
Amber:"Yes. I've always wanted at least one boy one girl"
Rob: that's the perfect little family. So you're the first mommy that I've ever done a Q&A with that's still with child you're 39weeks pregnant now. So lets go back about 8 months.
Did you get any of those symptoms?
Amber:"I had every symptom. Nausea , headaches , cravings, weight gain. You name it I had it!"
Rob: Yes that's pretty much all of them. Did you're breast get really hard? Did you have a lot of stretch marks? If so how did you deal with them?
Amber:" Just soreness in my breast but nothing really. I've always had strtchmarks so they don't bother me , I feel like every woman has them or will."
Rob: Yes That's true, have you started to leak at anytime yet? What's something that has been that "wow" moment in you're pregnancy?
Amber:"I noticed they leak when I take a hot shower or bath. I think my wow moment would be just feeling her kick or move. Its truly amazing feeling your baby move inside of you."
Rob: We're you scared to have you're baby if anything could go wrong?
Amber:"I was only scared of something happing to her. There's always a risk."
Rob:Very true. In you're last months of pregnancy how did you feel? Can you describe what you felt like and went through?
Amber:"My last couple months were probably the hardest. I feel like it completely took a toll on my body and I was extremely exhausted . I felt like I never got sleep and I started to feel sick again. My back was hurting more and I actually was starting to get stomach cramps just cause she had no room left. I would have to sleep with a heating pad and soak in a hot bath. But it was definitely worth every second."
Rob: That's a real mommy for you, all the real pain right there.
Okay now you're the first mom I've done almost due at any moment. the last day you were pregnant were you "ready"?
Amber:"I was absolutely ready. I waited for that day for nine months. It couldn't have came any sooner."
Rob: So now the day is finally here, the day you can hold you're baby in you're arms. How did that feel the first time you saw her?
Amber:"I don't think you can put into words the emotion you feel the first time you see your baby. I just know I was overwhelmed with happiness and joy. I love her more then anything in the world she completely stole my heart."
Rob: Don't make me cry now. That's so beautiful there are no words even for the way you described that feeling.
So now, first day home with you're baby how was that like with you, Justin and the new bundle of joy?
Amber:"First day home was good. We are blessed with such great parents that Justins mom actually came the first day so we could get some sleep. After she left we were up for 22 hours straight, talk about exhausting."
Rob: Aww that is very blessed indeed. What a great family. That's motherhood for you.
What's the best price of advice someone has given you so far?
Amber:"Best advice was to just relax and make sure to never take anything out on Justin. Were both new to this and we have to work together."
Rob: That's really good advice I haven't heard that one before, it so true you are both very new and doing a great job.
What's the best advice you can give?
Amber:"Sleep when the baby sleeps for sure. Its the best way for you to get rest."

Mommy Monday: Baby Bumps
I usually have a mommy Monday Q&A but as most of you know I had the flu. I know that's no excuse. But I like to give it my all when I do something but I promise it will be back next Monday.
While you wait, here are some cute mommy's with child.
I want all moms to know that you're not fat at all. I know who am I to say that I'm a guy and I'm not carrying the baby. But you're not, you're very beautiful. You have the most beautiful baby in the world that's waiting to meet you and once you look into that baby's eyes you're whole world changes. Now you can trust me on that I know that for sure. ;) I hear it all the time.
Those 9months are big and then the moment comes and you're like wow where has time gone?...

Mommy Monday: Charmaine Castro
I've know Charmaine for quite some time now I've seen her when she had her little monkey in her. So this time around I now know her as a mom. It was very different from just talking at lunch. She's so grown now and full of mommy wisdom. She is a great mom even when her son was inside of her.
Read all about her mommy life in this Q&A for this weeks mommy Monday . She's strong she's bold she's learns from everything, Charmaine Castro.
Thank you, you're a great mom to you're son and wife.
Charmaine:"I was eighteen when I got pregnant and nineteen when I had my son. I'm just really glad I at least graduated before, don't get me wrong I have nothing against anyone that had their babies during high school, but I know in some cases it can get hard to graduate when they are supposed to or even graduate at all My college has been delayed but really its not much because of my son but more because I don't know what I really want to do for a career anymore (laughs) but when I do decide nothing will stop me even if it is years from now.

Charmaine: "we really don't do much when we are all home together but be bums! (Laughs) Usually on weekends mikael will wake up come to bed with us &he makes sure we are both awake! &I think at bed time and mornings is when he's the sweetest because he will hold our hands, hug us or attack us with kisses! We will eat breakfast, be bums again (I'll clean up a bit first) (laughs) lunch, we will go outside and work on the yard and mikael is a great lil helper he loves being out there! Then we will keep being bums and watch movies with him &eat a lot of popcorn! Its our favorite snack! or sometimes we will go for a walk at the park, he likes playing there but once he's tried everything he likes to explore lol so we will walk on the joggin trail! Me and john don't really go out on dates alone but its ok I rather have my monkey around us at all times. So we will sometimes decide to do stuff like movies, dinner, or maybe even a trip to the zoo, like I said before, all with our son involved.. &in mind! So me and john get to feel like little kids again at times.
Rob: I love that you're family oriented and willing to do what ever it takes to give you're son the same thing.

Charmaine:"If a high school mother reads this, its to focus on school and baby! If someone helps you while u go to school do not take advantage of it! Get home thank them and be with ur child! And to just about every mother, young or old, the clubs, the parties and drinking will always be there. Every single moment with your kids is a memory you want to have every part in! Mothers and even fathers really need to understand that, especially at a young age what you do really does effect ur children. Be the parent that people would be surprised to see you out, than surprised that you are actually staying home with ur kids! Be the parent ur kids always run to, not grandma or aunt and uncle! Even if ur babies push u away, attack them with hugs and kisses! Really take advantage of them short and precious time you have with ur kids cause time really goes by fast..

Mommy Monday
Rob: What kind of mom are you?
Charmaine: "I'm a good mom &I care less if anyone disagrees which they wouldn't even have a reason to Lol.. now a days young moms just arent ready or willing to give up their old ways once they become a mother, and I was never that big to go out and make a fool out of myself in the first place(laughs) but honestly i do not need any of that in my life anyway and i would rather stay home with my boys more than anything anything else. love being a mom and everything That i do involves my son or it at least all my decisions are with him in mind.
Rob: I like that you're very vocal about that, and you can speak of the young moms because you are a young mom. At what age did you have you're son?
You're an army wife and a young mom, non the less a mommy. How does it feel Having that as you're title now? Sticking with the subject of being a young mom in this genre.
I would rather just have the title of wife and mommy with no involvement in the army(laughs) but even though I disagree with my husbands choice of career, I support him through everything, even when it gets really hard. I can go on and on about what I dislike about the army but one main reason is I want my husband to always be there for my son! I hate the fact that one day he may deploy and miss out on lil special moments that I would love for him to also see for himself.
Rob: That's a good way to think about it, you don't want to miss any moment on you're sons life and you're family. Completely understandable. You're only saying how you feel.
Then the mommy title you shall have. Welcome to the mommy club my dear. What is a big day like for you and john(when he's home) and you're son like? From begging to end?

Charmaine: "we really don't do much when we are all home together but be bums! (Laughs) Usually on weekends mikael will wake up come to bed with us &he makes sure we are both awake! &I think at bed time and mornings is when he's the sweetest because he will hold our hands, hug us or attack us with kisses! So we will sometimes decide to do stuff like movies, dinner, or maybe even a trip to the zoo, like I said before, all with our son involved.. &in mind! So me and john get to feel like little kids again at times.
Rob: Family time is the best you really put you're family first. That's very special, wer you always so family involved growing up?
Those little memories are the ones your will have forever. Can you recall a moment of fear with you're son?
Charmaine:" Omg yes! I am a big mommas girl! &being family oriented was very big growing up. Every single holiday or even at times after church our whole family was always together. Growing up I was always around one of my aunts and my grandma so they hold a very special place in my heart. My whole family means so much to me that I wish mikael can have that too growing up but I know in the army we will move around a lot so he won't have that as much but I will do whatever it takes for him to still have that somehow.
-I've actually had a few times of fear with mikael, but one was when he fell down the stairs! I tried catching up to him as fast as I could but he was tumbling down skipping so many steps, when he finally stopped he just layed there completely still, didn't even cry, and had his eyes closed! Seeing that I started crying and went to pick him up and that's when he finally screamed and cried and to me that was the biggest relief.
Rob: I love that you're family oriented and willing to do what ever it takes to give you're son the same thing.
Oh my gosh that would have frightened me as we'll. I'm so very glad he's alright now.
Here's a good question I think all moms want to know. How did you loose all the baby weight so fast? Any tips to share?
Charmaine:" Haha well at first I didn't really try too much but I did start going to the gym every now and then. I really started losing all my weight when john left for basic. I wanted him to come home to a hot &skinny future wife, so I started the turbofire dvds &I lost soo much weight! Now I have gained it all back. I'm home alone a lot so all I eat is junk food! (laughs) I'm trying to get fit again but with insanity this time, so far its kickin my ass! (Laughs) I think its harder to lose the weight now than it was back then. My tip would be is just be very motivated! Don't think it will happen overnight! It will take time, maybe even longer than u would want it to! Eating healthy is also big and what I struggle with the most now.
Rob: Ahh yes no magic tip here.
What is the best piece of advice someone gave you? Before and after you had you're baby?
Charmaine:"Honestly everyone always gives advice like "rub coco butter to avoid stretch marks, don't eat this or that" you know the usual helpfull advice and also after baby is here that just about every new mother gets. But I think the best advice has been my mom simply telling me "take good care of mikael!" &I really do my best. Or like my grandparents and uncle have told me as I dedicated him to God, "guide him through the rightgeous path to the best of ur ability" and I believe in God and follow his word as much as I know, at times I still feel lost, but i do the best, now i can have him grow in faith.
Rob: That's so beautiful, oh yes we all have heard those even I know those. That's a good thing to do follow what you believe in.
We're coming to a close you're now apart of mommy Monday and already in the mommy club. But what's he best advice that you can give to a woman like you?

Charmaine:"If a high school mother reads this, its to focus on school and baby! If someone helps you while u go to school do not take advantage of it! Get home thank them and be with ur child! And to just about every mother, young or old, the clubs, the parties and drinking will always be there. Every single moment with your kids is a memory you want to have every part in!
